The goal is to discuss all matters hockey in the manner that real fans do ..... that means real opinions, and calling a spade a spade, so don't expect too much distilled commentary, as Open Ice Hitter does not employ any politically styled spin doctors .....

 Open Ice Hitter focuses on the game of hockey, though realizing the pro game is a business. That being said, Open Ice Hitter looks with disdain upon those whose only pursuit is greed. That will explain the rough ride that " player agents " get on this site. And that is how it will be until that group starts to show some sort of moral or ethical behaviour beyond their own bank account. Not to be naive, the owners are no angels, however, two wrongs don't make a right, and the players are playing a game for a living ....
